The blade of the Lebendwell Athos is made of D2 steel this kind of steel is characterized by high carbon content. It has the advantages of long service life, wear resistance and a hardness of 60HRC. The blade receives a heat treatment of titanium plating - this coating gives the better wear-resistance and more scratch resisitance .
